ATTENTION! If you are booked in for a class and you are suddenly feeling sick, or have a temperature please call or text 250.751.9370 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know.
It is important for us all to work in collaboration to ensure our community remains healthy. Please stay home if you are feeling sick or if you have returned from travel.
Please give us as much time as possible so that we can allow those on the waitlist enough time to make plans to join us.
CANCELLATIONS: All other cancellations must be received 12-hours before class start time. Cancellations outside of this time frame will not be credited to your account. If your bike can't be re-booked, your account will be charged for the class. Our unlimited members will be charged $10 if a cancellation is received less than 12-hours before class start time.
PLEASE DO NOT DROP-IN FOR CLASSES. PLEASE BOOK IN ADVANCE. If you are planning on attending class, please book into and pay for your class online. If you need to book a class but can only pay cash, we will accept an e-transfer, please email email@example.com first.
WE ARE USING OUR ENTRANCE ACROSS FROM PORT PLACE MALL ONLY. Our Victoria Crescent entrance will remain closed until further notice. Please park in the parking lot in between Black and Blue Tattoo and the A&W / Co-Op Gas Station. Please bring some change if you are parking in this lot between 9 am - 5 pm M-F. Parking outside of these hours is free of charge.
PLEASE BRING 3 THINGS WITH YOU:
1) a FULL WATER BOTTLE
2) a SWEAT TOWEL from home
3) your MASK
We will not be providing towel service nor have filtered water available during the pandemic to try to minimize transmission between all participants. Please do not forget either of these comforts!!
BATHROOMS will be open. SHOWERS will not be.
FANS will not be running during class. The AC will be set long before class to try and achieve the coolest environment possible. The early classes will be the coolest! AC will now be turned off during class - and the windows will be open!
The BIKES are all DISTANCED, body to body, between 10 feet - 13 feet.
The EXTRACTION FANS will be on to encourage a light air exchange.
Doors will be opened 10 minutes before class, unless otherwise communicated.
Please leave any personal items/purses/devices/extra clothing in your vehicles. Please minimize the number of items you bring into the studio. Each bike/spot has a hook assigned to it, or place to put your items, to keep them off the floor. If you don't know where your your hook is (window ledges for bikes 3 + 8) please ask your instructor!
ARRIVING AT THE STUDIO + WHAT TO EXPECT:
Please WEAR YOUR MASKS to and from your bikes/spots. Once you are on your bike or your mat - you are welcome to remove your mask for class. If you are getting off to use the washroom, please ensure you wear your mask in the shared spaces.
Once inside, please come up the stairs. The stairs have Xs marked on them. Please keep your distance as you wait to be greeted.
Please do not pass the tables until you have applied hand sanitizer and had your temperature taken.
Please use the hand sanitizer located on the table at the top of the stairs and wait there..It is quite messy, feel free to use the garbage can to catch it. If you use the tissue around your face, please disinfect your hands again. This is done with the 70% alcohol sanitizing gel, while rubbing in your hands for 30 seconds, until they dry. Sure you have been practicing!
Your instructor will be greeting you wearing a mask, and checking your temperature with a non-contact infrared thermometer (NCIT). The thermometer will be held 3 cm - 15 cm from your forehead. Temperatures ranging from 36.1-37.2 degrees Celcius will be permitted entry into the studio. If your temperature is above this range, we will be really sad to have to turn you away - but our community’s safety is of the utmost importance and you will not be charged for the class.
The BIKE MAP laid out in the booking system is the old layout. We now have fewer bikes in the room. If you are in the same household/share a bubble – please try to choose your bikes closer together. Please seee the BIKE MAP on the homepage. (This has been removed as SPIN has been suspended.)
There is a coat hook for your personal items located at most of the bike/yoga 'stations'. Please keep your things off the floor on these hooks. Bikes 3 + 8 do not have hooks but can use the wide window ledge to place personal items.
Please wear your mask and keep your distance from others as you make your way to your bike. Please get your bike adjusted to fit your correctly. (Seat: hip bone height, handlebars: just above the seat height, and an arms-length from your fingertips to your elbow from your seat to your handlebars). We will try to check in with everyone. If you need help, please make sure to get your instructor’s attention.
We will run class. You must be able to stay for the whole class. We promise you to start on time and finish on time (so please be on time!). We will sweat, it will be awesome.
Once class is done, your instructor will run downstairs and prop the back door open. Please wait at your bike and give your classmates some virtual high fives for the good work. Please collect your items, ensuring you have your water bottle, towel, mask and any other items you may have brought in.
You do not need to clean your bike. We are using 3 different products on the bikes, and another for the floors. We will be using a Health Canada approved cleaner with natural cleaning derivatives that has a kill time of 4 minutes on the bikes (as our riders come in to contact with this), and need to ensure the sanitation process is followed and monitored closely.
Once the instructor is back in the room, please give each other space to leave the studio. Please disinfect your hands before you leave with the sanitizer at the top of the stairs.
Please wash your hands, shower and wash the clothes you were wearing at the studio immediately, minimizing contact with other items in your home.
We look forward to continuing our fitness revolution with you in person, and online! Thank you for your support by coming into the studio, and by joining us in our new virtual world!
